I've read a comment that was written by a boy who was complaining about his mother.
His mother is a big fan of Maddonna and she tries to be like her. He thinks that he doesn't need anyone to copy. He is just being himself. He "invents" himself just the way he likes. But in chatrooms and forums he becomes someone different. With girls he's being sweet and gentle, with boys cool and tough and in the reality someone that doesn't look in any way like his "internet self". So his question is: who am I?

So there you have it, the ancient question with no answer.
After reading this I was wondering, who am I? And are there people who know who they are?
Do you know who you are (deep inside)?

What I think is that no one is actually being him/her self. There is always some fear of being rejected by others and ending up alone. So we change, even if it's a little bit, our self to be part of the "group".
And if we are in chatrooms or forums we let our fantasy work and become someone we never guessed to be. Hearing this vioce in our head saying: 'no one knows who you really are'
Internet gives us security!

So the answer to the question: who am I?
is...distressed actors with our true self locked inside our heart?
